Kevin McCulloch is the founding member of The McCulloch Law Firm and manager of the firm’s new Seattle office.

Kevin earned his J.D. from Yale Law School in 2005.  During law school, Kevin interned for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Tribal Justice and the Native American Rights Fund’s Tribal Supreme Court Project. Kevin also was an intern/research assistant for the counselor to the president of the World Bank.

Kevin began his legal career in the litigation section of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP’s Washington, D.C. office where he honed his skills in both complex civil litigation and appellate practice.  During this time, Kevin authored briefs in numerous cases before the United States Supreme Court and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fifth, Sixth, and D.C. Circuits.  After three years in civil litigation, Kevin served as a law clerk to the Honorable Eric L. Clay on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Detroit.  Following his clerkship, Kevin has focused his practice on copyright litigation, handling complex cases all around the country for photographers, directors, music producers, and other artists.  Kevin has devoted his practice to representing artists and fighting vigorously to protect their rights and interests against even the biggest companies.  Kevin has successfully litigated cases against major publishing companies, small infringers, and even stock photo licensing companies, including Getty Images and the Associated Press.

Kevin also has devoted significant time to pro bono cases ranging from domestic violence cases to death penalty habeas corpus appeals before the United States Supreme Court.  Kevin has been published in both legal and academic journals on topics ranging from Federal Indian law to copyright matters to linguistic philosophy.
